2nd Round RFU Junior Vase - Millbrook Vs Hellingly 28th November - Written by Mark Randell on 26/11/2015

Millbrook return to home action at Redbridge Lane this coming Saturday in the 2nd Round of the RFU Junior Vase. Our opposition are Hellingly who are based in Hailsham in East Sussex, and currently sit in 3rd place in Sussex Division 1 having won 5 out of their 8 games that they have played this season scoring 117 points and conceding 153. It is now less than a month away to the annual "12 Pubs Of Millbrook Rugby Club" celebration for the festive season!...... The fun will begin at 6pm at a local pub, probably the Waterloo Arms with the intention of 'jumping on the sleigh' and Rudolph leading us on to the next establishment every 30 minutes until all 12 pubs have been completed. Saturday 5th December @ 7pm£5 per person and this will include a buffet As some of you may well know, the youth team are going from strength to strength and are going on Tour to Germany in 2016 and we're starting fundraising for this with a Race Evening! This is the first Club event to help kickstart the fund raising for the Tour and all support is welcome. The funds won't just be coming from the club. Millbrook RFC are proud to announce that the scouts have been sent out and believe they have located a new rising star. The player in question, a Mr. Jonah Lomu, hails from a small island on the other side of the world. His pedigree in rugby is unknown, but due to his size, he will more than likely be a second row. The rugby union season (and the 2015 Rugby World Cup) are upon us so here's an update of what's on at Millbrook RFC in September...   Most foremost this weekend, Saturday 12th September, kicks off with a Millbrook RFC registration day. This is for all players, young and old, new and experienced to come along!!! The Webb Ellis Cup is coming: With 42 days to go the Rugby World Cup Trophy has begun its tour of the British Isle and it will be visiting Eastleigh RFC on Wednesday 26th August from 1100-1300. To give the day a special flavour Eastleigh RFC are inviting local businesses and organisations to participate in a ‘Touch Rugby World Cup’ festival.
