As the new season started we have made it clear to all the U16’s players that we will be tracking their movements and how the improve during the season which is part of our teaching process to make sure players live up to the core RFU values , club values and for personal growth and as a team. This is to ensure that all existing players and new players are welcomed and that there is a sense of belonging.
We continuously praise those who attends the training sessions and games and on their personal skills and general game play and management. At every home or away game we also nominate 2 Man of the Match selections which is selected by the coaching staff which is a stand out achievement and acknowledgement for not only showing the basic skills , but for a player who has gone a bit above and beyond during that game.
Apart from Man of the Match performances we also want to acknowledge those players who might have improved the most over a month period or they have done a mixture of skills improvement , the way the integrated with the whole team and played with the whole team. So the Player of the month award is someone who has shown a bit of everything as a full package.
The Man of the Match performances and Player of the month selections will also count towards the year end rewards ceremony , but this is not the only factors we would be considering for the end of year results.
So today we have attached a Photo of Peter Butoni who has shown incredible improvement from the level he played at during last season and he has shown a lot of maturity and continuously improving on his game awareness and personal skill set . Apart from that he has also slotted in nicely with the rest of the team and as one of the new players to this team he has already dotted over the try line during a game and recording his first 5 points for the team already within the first 4 weeks of the season.
Congratulations to you Peter for Player of the Month for September 2018.
