We march on!...... - Written by Mark Randell on 08/02/2016

The 1st XV were in RFU Cup action with a repeat of last seasons fixture away to Chipstead RFC, a mid table team in Surrey 1 who knocked the club out of the competition last season at the same stage. With a serious bout of "man flu" effecting the squad that travelled a lot of character was shown just to survive the coach journey with Tom Colling doing his best to help clear the lads sinuses!......  On arrival at the club, it was apparent the team who mastered the "heavy" pitch conditions a......Cont to article

2's Continue To March On Whilst 1's fall at the First Hurdle - Written by Mark Randell on 02/02/2016

The 2nd XV continued their fantastic season with a convincing 39-0 win away at 3rd placed Romsey 2's with a good turn out of supporters from the club there to give them some support and friendly banter! Conditions could only be described as 'heavy going' but this did not hold back the free flowing, attacking Rugby the team has been playing this season with some excellent support running and sexy offloads by some of the more 'experienced' (old!) players still showing their young thorougbreds that......Cont to article

Old Rugby Players - Written by Dan Wade on 27/01/2016

Two 90 year old men, Mike and Joe, have been friends all of their lives. When it's clear that Joe is dying, Mike visits him every day.   One day Mike says, "Joe, we both loved rugby all our lives, and we played rugby on Saturdays together for so many years. Please do me one favour, when you get to Heaven, somehow you must let me know if there's rugby there." Joe looks up at Mike from his death bed, "Mike, you've been my best friend for many years. If it's at all possible, I'll do this favo......Cont to article

"Double Top" - Written by on 23/01/2016

Two fantastic results at home this afternoon means that both teams still sit in top spot in their respective leagues. Although the overall performance of the 1's was "mixed" throughout the 80 minutes,  we still managed to score 6 tries on the way to a convincing 46-5 win against the IOW team who to their credit battled all the way to the final whistle.  Sitting in top spot in Hampshire Division 1 by 4 points, with both Fareham and Bognor hot on our heels the team now take a two w......Cont to article

Millbrook look to repel the "offshore" raiders! - Written by Mark Randell on 22/01/2016

This week we have another two home games at the club with the 1st XV hosting the Isle Of Wight in the league and the 2's playing Romsey 2's in a "friendly". The 1's are expecting a "battle" up front and if the game is like it was over at their place in the first half of the season I am sure Rich the Physio will be kept busy! The Isle of Wight team's confidence must be high after a great win against Fordingbridge last week at home on the island.   We must work hard all over the pitch, keep t......Cont to article

"Top" effort by both teams...... - Written by Mark Randell on 18/01/2016

Two strong performances on Saturday means that both teams proudly sit in "top spot" in their respective leagues which is great news for the club. The 1's put in a solid performance beating a strong Bognor team who probably had more of the possession of the ball over the 80 minutes but could not find a way through the "brick wall" defence on show from every player from number 1 to 18 in the squad on the day. Scoring all the 13 points in the first half, a couple of tries were left out on the pit......Cont to article

Massive Weekend Ahead!..... - Written by Mark Randell on 13/01/2016

With both the 1st & 2nd XV sitting 2nd in their repective leagues, both teams have the opportunity of moving into top spot if their results go the right way. The 1st XV entertain Bognor and will be looking to avenge the 36-20 loss at their place in October.  Boasting a Played 10, Won 9, Lost 1 record, Bognor have had a very strong season scoring 335 points and conceading only 114 points for a plus 221 points difference. Recruiting well over the summer with players re-joining the club af......Cont to article
